Gain access to Anglo-Saxon charters from before 900 AD and a register of all recorded inhabitants of Anglo-Saxon England, including biographical data. The resource also provides access to detailed descriptions of the landscape (boundary clauses) drawn up by contemporary land surveyors.

Highlights from this collection
LangScape is an online searchable database of Anglo-Saxon estate boundaries, descriptions of the countryside made by the Anglo-Saxons themselves. It provides a point of departure for the exploration of the English landscape and its place-names in the period before the Norman Conquest.
