Mill Collections

This resource provides access to a unique collection of mill photographs dating from the early part of the 20th century. This is particularly rich in black and white photographs of windmills and watermills, and other aspects of rural life, from a time just before the enormous changes that took place in agriculture and technology during the latter part of the century. A wide variety of photographs of wind and watermills come from a archive with a particular emphasis on mills in Kent and Sussex.
