'The UK PubMed Central Beta service provides a single point of access to all content found within PubMed and PubMed Central. UK PubMed Central was developed in collaboration with the founders of PubMed and PubMed Central in the United States and holds over 100 years' worth of medicine-related research and publications. It offers free access to digitised biomedical and life sciences literature that has been quality-checked using strict criteria before being passed for hosting within this collection.

Various journals of interest are represented, covering developments and discoveries in the field of medicine over the last two centuries, particularly in the U.S. and the UK. Many noteworthy medical and life science discoveries are covered in the archive’s publications and some of the subjects covered include Dermatology, Geriatrics, Medical Ethics and Ophthalmology.
