Alfred, Lord Tennyson was born in August 1809 and wrote many poems during his early life and 42-year tenure as Poet Laureate, including The Lady of Shalott, Mariana, The Lotos-Eaters and The Charge of the Light Brigade.
Over 2000 images of paintings, drawings, sketches, stained glass, prints, ceramics and written material produced by artists working as ‘Pre-Raphaelites’, a group who were greatly influenced by the work of Tennyson.
